The City of Lowell's Police Department is accepting applications for full-time Police Officer. Arkansas State Certified is preferred, but not required. Starting pay for the position is $15.00 per hour. The department works 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off. The department has a Special Response Team, Motor Division and Bike Patrol. The department also has home storage vehicles for those that live within ten minutes to the city. Some of the benefits provided are three weeks paid vacation after a year, eleven paid holidays, Accumulate twenty sick days per year and Health care and state certificate pay. All uniforms and equipment are provided.
The basic qualifications for the position are:
a. Be a citizen of the United States.
b. Be at least 21 years of age.
c. Be of good character as determined by a thorough background investigation.
d. Be a high school graduate or have a (GED).
e. Be examined by a licensed physician and meet the physical requirements.
f. Be examined by an individual licensed to practice psychiatry or psychology.
g. Possess a valid Arkansas driver's license.
h. Ability to pass a physical fitness and a written test.
