The American Red Cross is providing FREE 10-year smoke alarms (up to 3 per household- Approximately $20/alarm value) across ALL of Northwest Arkansas.

Do you need a smoke alarm, or do you know someone who needs one? If so, signing up is easy: http://www.getasmokealarm.org

Red Cross staff/volunteers will come in and install the alarms in the home and provide some basic fire safety and hazard information (20-30 min total).
The goal for this program is to save lives through education and providing working alarms in homes rather than code or regulation so heavy emphasis is placed upon the sleeping and common areas of the home. Alarms for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing are also available free of charge ($120+ value).
