Lowell Fire Station One is the main station for the City of Lowell Fire Department. The department was originally built in 1973, and has gone through several remodels / additions, with the most recent being a total remodel completed in 2016. The station is staffed 24 / 7, with 3 shifts of 5 personnel each working on a rotating 48 hour on / 96 hour off schedule. The station houses 6 apparatus. 1Engine, 1Reserve Engine, 1 2,500 Gallon Tender, 1 Medium Duty Rescue, 1 Battalion Chief Vehicle, and 1 ALS Ambulance. Fire Administration is also located in this facility. Administration hours of operation are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
